First Look
Manuscript Assessment

Do you have a manuscript? Are you wanting to be published? Do you need help getting it ready to submit? Then First Look is for you!
Send us the first 10 pages of your manuscript (full text for picture books) with a one (1) page synopsis (we're going to be very strict with the page lengths) and we'll send it off to professional assessors for you.
In October you will get 1-3 pages of assessment on your manuscript, including an overview, the strengths and weaknesses of the sample and suggestions for improvement.

The fine print...

  1. Entrants must be over 18
  2. All submissions must include a one (1) page synopsis
  3. Formatting: Word Doc only, 12pt, double-spaced, NORMAL font (Time, Cambria etc), page numbers, titles and author name.
  4. First ten pages of your manuscript unless it is a picture book text, then send the whole text.
  5. Email your documents to newcpartners@gmail.com with 'First Look' as the subject. In the body of the email put your Trybooking receipt number or your payment receipt (if you paid by direct deposit).

Stuff you need to know...

Opens: July 1
Closes: August 31
