2022 New England Illustration Prize

NOW OPEN FOR SUBMISSIONS UNTIL FRIDAY 23 SEPTEMBER 2022
Now in its sixth year, the New England Illustration Prize will be opening for submissions on Saturday 2 July.

We invite illustrators resident in any part of Australia and at any stage of their careers, to create a colour illustration suitable for a children’s picture book.

Interpretations of our theme can be in any way you wish — humorous, fantastical, realistic, or any genre.  The illustration can be centred around people, animals, supernatural creatures, robots, monsters, machines, whatever you like!
2022 theme is "The Door to Adventure".

Your image can be created in any medium but must be able to be sent digitally, by email, as a file attachment.

This prestigious award attracts entries from artists and illustrators all over Australia and garners a great deal of attention from children's book publishers!

Take a look at the 2021 Illustration Prize winners for an insight into the calibre of entries and judges.
