2021 Archive - a year in review

2021 saw another year of fabulous learning opportunities and professional development workshops for writers and illustrators at all levels delivered.  Of course, there was also our annual competitions, the Thunderbolt Prize for Crime Writing, the Illustration Prize, both of which attracted entrants from around Australia.  
The NEWC also worked closely with the Historical Novel Society of Australasia to help them deliver the 2021 ARA Historical Novel Prize, the richest literary genre prize in Australia.

We are determined to stay positive and focused for 2022 with an exciting array of workshops, with a strong emphasis on creative entrepreneurship.
