Meet Bec!
Bec has spent twelve years in education settings, supporting student learning and wellbeing. During this time, she discovered that the best way to teach anything is with a good story and hence, her writing journey began.
Now, she lives in Armidale with her husband and five children. She spends her days being inspired by ordinary, everyday pieces of life and her nights trying to weave that inspiration into picture book manuscripts. Bec's debut picture book, Grow Big, Little Seed is published by Hardie Grant Children's Publishing, released in April. Her second (actually her first, but published later), The Book Week Star, was acquired by Affirm Press and released in July 2024. Bec is an alumni of the AWC Picture Book Course (2020). |
