Say G'day! Meet Julia @ Impact Editing

Julia contacted the NEWC office recently to introduce herself and let us know that she was now an Armidale local, offering editorial services.

It's great to have more author services in the area and we're happy to share her news.

I founded Impact Editing in 2021 after completing a Postgraduate Certificate in Professional Editing at Macquarie University.

In 2023, my family relocated to Armidale after eleven years in Narrabri, where I worked as a journalist and educator.

I am passionate about literature, having studied literature at university and worked as a lecturer at the University of Tasmania, and then UNE, but I am also a skilled editor of non-fiction and dissertations.

My teaching background means I work well with authors, and my favourite form of editing is structural editing and book coaching. This means I read what you have - it could be a partial manuscript, an outline or a table of contents, and advise you where to go from here.

A lot of writers have brilliant ideas, but struggle to focus their ideas into a book form. If you are struggling with writing, you've started, you've stopped again, you feel like you're going round in circles and now you're not even sure if your ideas are any good anyway, call me.
